Aliccia McPherson

Hello, my name is Aliccia McPherson and I am an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Before Osteopathy I completed a 4 year undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. I knew Kinesiology was not the final step for me and I needed to know more. I needed to understand the reason why people had pain without injury, or why some injuries after they have healed can still continue to cause pain and dysfunction. After witnessing the amazing effects of Osteopathy on someone very close to me I knew this was my next step.

I attended the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, which has the highest standards in Osteopathic education in Canada. It was 4 continuous years, with intense clinical training and all encompassing anatomy studies. We also studied physiology, biomechanics and learned about the history of this 100+ year old profession. The complexity of anatomy and how the principles of Osteopathy can be applied to it is incredible, which means even though I am done school, I am a life long student.

I am a member of OST CAN - Osteopathy Canada - under the OOA - Ontario Osteopathic Association. This means for patients that have insurance for Osteopathy, you can use your coverage here as all providers accept the OOA.
